Keno Schemes That Win
It won’t often be thought of as the funnest game in the world of betting, but keno has massive amounts of dedicated fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a routinely exciting lotto-type game that’s simple to learn, abundantly available in many different variations, and one that may return mega-dollars for people who learn its numerous subtle rules. But let’s start with the basics here.
When describing keno to novices, some wagering masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least partially correct, in that both games are generally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far would be to underrate the innumerable unique aspect that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno users have the power to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the user is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your desired numbers with a normal#2 pencil like you had back in school.
Once you’ve checked your numbers, carry the card back to the clerk at the keno stand. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your efforts.
Now there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno receipt. Let’s go on to something a little bit more complicated, shall we?
Now that you’ve marked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action happen on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to get your winnings, since a new round of keno will most likely start within a few minutes.
Strategy number two: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Assuming you can not trust yourself to make that five-minute deadline every time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the max number of keno games (fitting the amount of tickets) is played, you may then get off your numb back side and go get your winnings.
Another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which generally allows you make number selection for thirty games or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after purchase!
So now you have learned a number of essential techniques for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable gambler, they may seem very obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a novice player, every little bit of direction will help make your keno playing more agreeable.
