It will not generally be deemed the most fun game in the universe of betting, but keno has tons of passionate admirers. As well it should! It’s a consistently entertaining lotto-type game that’s simple to learn, readily available in loads of assorted variations, and one that may return millions for gamblers who master its limitless subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic facts for now.

When explaining keno to newbies, some gaming pros compare it to lotto. This is at least tolerably correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far might be to miscalculate the great many unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Not like bingo, keno enthusiasts have the ability to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is granted an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he or she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your chosen numbers with a good oldball point pen like you had when you were a kid.

Now that you’ve checked your numbers, carry your card back to the clerk at the keno stand. The nice person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your winning card.

And there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno receipt. Let us move to something a tiny bit more complex, ok?

Once you’ve checked off your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the big keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Make sure not to take too much time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, since a new keno game will likely begin within a few minutes.

Strategy #2: always get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can not trust yourself to meet that 5 minute deadline each time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty tickets. When the max number of games (the same as the number of tickets) is finished, you are then able to get off your lazy rump and go get your winnings.

Still another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which commonly allows you make number choices for 30 keno games or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

So now you know a couple of required strategies for winning keno. If you are a good user, they might appear to be very obvious. But it does not hurt to study up on the basic practices, and if you are a newbie keno player, every little bit of direction will help make your keno gambling more exciting.
